AUTHENTICATION SERVICES
Why Authenticate? The 1st step in building Provenance
If you are serious about protecting the value of your investment in a piece of art, then it is of the upmost importance that you can provide Provenance: the chronology of the ownership, custody or location of an artwork.
Why Certify your artwork? The purpose of your C.O.A
Your C.O.A (Certificate of Authentisity) is an important part of providing proof that a piece of art was in fact created by a certain artist. Having documentation to proof the origin of an artwork and how it was passed on between generations or owners is as important as the actual artwork.
Where do I obtain a C.O.A?It all starts with the artist
In most cases the gallery you bought the artwork from should have issued you with a C.O.A. If this is not the case we suggest you follow the simple steps below to have your Corné Eksteen artwork autheniticated. We will compare your submitted data against our database to confirm the origin of the artwork.
AUTHENTICATION PROCESS STEPS

Please provide us with as much documentation as possible. Any receipts from the gallery where you bought the artwork. Everything from the date of purchase to details of the gallery where it was bought would be helpfull.

Please provide us with as many photos of the artwork as possible, including the back and close-ups of any markings that could serve as a "signature." These could range from a cirlce with the letter "C" inside it to the letters "XTN" - there are even some very early works that were signed "Corgore."

Typically all C.O.A. documents are supplied in .PDF format and sent via e-mail. If you would like to receive a printed / physical document, please include that request with your submission.
